Our trip to Mackinac!

The FBI National Academy holds their yearly meetings on Mackinac Island... and Grammy E asked us if we wanted to join her! So, we made the trip up north to the island and we had a WONDERFUL time! The Grand Hotel has such a magic about it... and the hospitality, especially with our little baby, was above and beyond anything we could have expected! Plus, we found that Hyatt is not shy at all to be held and danced with by the Jamaican waiters! :)

8 Months of Smiley Happy Baby!

Oh my... 8 months. It seems like such a big number. Just like our big boy! Eating, laughing, moving machine! Typically I can't keep enough food in front of him, but those huge hands still are working on his 'pincer' grasp. He's almost 30" and almost 20 pounds. Tall and skinny... and still growing. I'm sure I say this every single month, but I honestly can't get enough of this little man. He's almost walking and just giggles and growls his way right into everyone's heart.

He's got his Michigan football outfit all ready for this weekend... we're raising a future Wolverine here!

8 months

Canning... and watching Hyatt's personality grow!

We've been fortunate enough this year to have a huge amount of fruits and vegetables at our disposal... and so canning has been in full force. Of course Hyatt's along the way to help out with trying out the green beans, corn, peaches, tomatoes, watermelons, pears, peas... even beets!

Everywhere we go people ask us if he ever stops smiling... it's rare. He is such a happy kid!
